Community Resources
The community is made up of many parts, and all of those parts are needed to succeed. Some of the vital elements of our community are:
Volunteers:
Volunteers make a big difference in the lives of many people, and volunteering can make a big difference in your life too! You can help with special events, use your technology skills or administrative talents to help contain costs, or interact with the people we support on a one-to-one basis. We seek help in many ways, including public relations, efforts to help educate the legislature on the issues of people with developmental disabilities, residential repairs and up-keep and plain old fundraising! Volunteers are needed to do the following:
- Assist in providing supports to individuals (special training will be required and provided)
- Administrative support
- Technology assistance
- Telephone fundraising and solicitation
- Handiwork at individual homes (painting, repairs, gardening - also, ask about adopting a home)
- Assist with special events
- Galas
- Silent and live auctions
- Golf tournaments
