Mark
your calendar! On Monday, September
12, 2005, Spectrum Support, Inc. and Major

evening before, presenting an early opportunity
for sponsors to meet the stars, and talk
to them one-to-one, not to mention get photos
and autographs.

a foursome, or simply want to know more
about this great event, please contact David
Bell on 901-745-7335, or by e-mail: dbell@spectrum-support.org.

Employment!
We assess the abilities, desires and needs
of individuals who have been referred and determine
what types of jobs they would like
We work with the people who know the individual
best and get additional information about what makes
the person happy and how we will know if the person
is pleased about a potential job
We provide opportunities for individuals, through
local businesses, to try out different
types of jobs for several hours at a time
We use the information received from the work
trials to locate jobs for people with local employers
who will pay the person a wage and provide benefits
commensurate with coworkers performing similar duties
We assist people in obtaining and maintaining
jobs in the community
We provide staff (job coaches) who assist the
person in learning the requirements of the job and
encourage not only independence on the job but also
help to build friendships with coworkers
We help people develop skills that will lead
to greater acceptance in the community by emphasizing
appropriate work attire and appearance, using every
tool available, including special communication devices,
